With the adding of the sectors ‚media&arts‘ and ‚lab‘ in 2007, the Time Warp evolved into the week-long ‚Time Warp – Festival for Jetztmusik and Media Art‘. The aim of this event is to present a platform across diverse locations for innovative projects that span the border between electronic music and related art forms.
„Music here and now“ (Frankfurter Rundschau 31. März 2009)
The focal points of the festival are Jetztmusik and Media Arts.
The most central concern are the points of contact in the field of tension between various electronic-inclined artistic genres including rhythm, dance and other creative forms of expression. The connection of these different elements hopes to achieve new interpretations as well as new perceptions and points of view.
Through comprehensive projects, different audiences are addressed and merged. This way, not only the content of the festival but also the mixed audience can establish ties between different topics and sometimes even contrasting locations. In this, multidisciplinary aspects are an important tool.
The festival comprises the aim of opening new perpectives and creating new angles to highlight familiar contexts.
