Marcel Dettmann

Marcel Dettmann is one of the protagonists of the Berlin techno scene around the club mecca Berghain / Panorama Bar. Heavy basses and reduced melodies are the two fundamental pillars in his mixes but they are by far not everything he has to offer. In between, there is a great variety of influences from virtually all forms of electronic music: shrill acid sequences meet organic machine sounds, sawing analog bass melts with Chicago-style housechords. In the end, it is this versatility which makes Marcel’s sets so incredibly exciting.
