Mari Boaventura is a researcher, activist, and one of the main figures responsible for bringing forth forgotten sounds from the common imagination within the realm of contemporary electronic music. Her musical research is exclusively dedicated to sounds produced by black artists. Her passion for African musicality is evident in the natural way she presents the sonic forms of the African diaspora. Her sets bring back the forgotten grooves and rhythms that she effortlessly and masterfully brings to the forefront.
