Hardly anyone knows how to convey such musical hardness so charmingly as this charismatic woofer-buster from Chicago. On his own records he shows himself as a humorous abdominal poet with deep-penetrating bass drums. But Rush also has another side, and sometimes lets elements of jazz, disco, funk and soul flow into his DJ sets – not so surprising for those who know his early house tracks on Trax Records.
